Anything for you-Sonadow-.:Part 1:.

Vampires are known to be the toughest species in the world--they hunt and drink the blood of their victims to stay alive, and even find a mate of their same species to keep their colony growing. Unfortunately, dark times has came upon them as the clan slowly found out that their species was dwindling each day...something had to be done to prevent extinction...and the only way was for a certain black and red vampire to find the right mate to make their clan grow.

"Why me?" The chosen vampire asked the elder in Vanax, a language only vampires could understand.
"Because the the spirits chose you. There is no further reason. No go! Its been said" The elder, a black vampire bat, hissed as he watched the chosen one walk out, "Do not return until you find a mate that bares a child, Shadow. Do not"
Shadow growled softly from the back of his throat and walked out. He ignored the stares of the others, walking emotionlessly into the forest.

After what felt like hours of mindless walking he came upon a waterfall that seemed to glow with the moons rays. He walked up tot he rocks at the top and took a big intake of the fresh air, his wings outstretched as the moon glittered through the tears of the webbings. He then glanced down at the lake that the waterfalls flowed into. A big creature had been drinking from it but had cast his bright green eyes upon him.
The creature continued to stare at Shadow, never seeing anything like it. It tilted its head as it watch the vampire turn its back towards him, the emerald-eyed creature snorted and gave an intimidating growl. Shadow hissed and turned at the creature, he wouldn't let it mock him.
He lept down onto a thin rock and lept from tip to tip as he jumped into the shallow part of the lake, hissing at the creature but he stopped.
He'd seen those eyes before...His eyes widened a little. The rock slide...

Flashback

Shadow panted weakly as he tried to claw out of the rocks, his claws uselessly dragging along the surface.
He closed his eyes, thinking that this was the end for him...thinking he was going to die here, but soon he began to feel a small tug on his quills.
He opened his eyes a little and looked up at the blurry figure slowly, looking into its green eyes as he was dragged onto the ground and given a deer before the creature ran off.
"Who..was th-that...?"

Normal Time

"I..Its you..." Shadow blinked.
The creature tilted his head and wagged his tail as he ran forward and pounced right on Shadow and began to lick his face.
"Hey!" Shadow pushed him off, not used to playful actions like that of a werewolf's. He stood slowly, "Thank you for your help back at that rockslide last week"
The creature smiled and began to sniff Shadow's scent from his belly all the way around to his rear; but Shadow pushed him back, feeling that his personal space was being violated. The creature was intrigued and snickered at Shadow's embarrassed look.
"Quite it!" The vampire hissed, baring his fangs in annoyance, "Im TRYING to say thank you here!"
The creature tilted his head once more and then nuzzled Shadow's hand, almost telling him "you are welcome".

A small smile crept onto Shadow's features as he petted the werewolf's head. A long howl came from the forest, calling the younger ones home, as the vampire cringed a little, covering his ears.
"Urh..!"
The werewolf looked at Shadow worriedly and began to drag him away from the sound of the howl--not aware that the vampire was getting hit with mud, branches, thorns and other obstacles along the way. Once the howl got quieter, the werewolf wagged his tail and put Shadow down, only to see a glare in his eyes.
"Th-thanks but no thanks.." he grumbled and pulled a snapped off branch out from behind his ear and stood, rubbing his sore ears "I have to be off anyway...See ya around, werewolf..." he said quietly and walked off again.

The creature whined and began to follow right behind Shadow.
"Go home..." Shadow hissed under his breath, making sure the creature heard him, "Now..!" He stopped when he heard the werewolf whimpering and turned, sighing as he knelt down, "Listen...I don't want you to get hurt...go home..."
The creature shook his head and stayed by Shadow's side--it didn't want to leave him, it liked being with him for some reason.
The vampire sighed and rubbed his temples in stress.
"Okay, Fine! But only for a little bit. I hear that if younge don't come back the adults go looking for them. I take it your as younge as I am. And a pack of angry werewolves is all I need"

The werewolf yipped happily and pounced on Shadow again and began to lick his face once more, only to recieve a shove and a groan of annoyance.
"Secondly, NO pouncing and licking. Yuck!" he shook his arms that were dripping with drool and walked off again.
The werewolf wagged his tail and walked beside Shadow.

They walked for a while until they came to the werewolf territory. It reeked of wolf as Shadow gagged a little, shuddering. His ears twitched as he glanced around.
'We're being watched...' "Werewolf.." Shadow whispered to the one that had been following him, "Attack me" he noticed its confusment and hissed a little, "Do it!"
The blue werewolf nodded and barked as he growled and pounced on Shadow--he bit the vampire's arm and and looked into his eyes, giving a low snarl.
Shadow did a fake struggle but he didn't account for the others to interfer. It happened to quickly for the werewolf to stop them. They chomped into the vampire side in a certain point as he blacked out quickly.

Later

Shadow opened his eyes slowly. He hazily tried to move his arm but hissed as something burned into his flesh. He looked slowly as his eyes widened a little.
He was shackled by the wrists, ankles and neck with silver chains up against a post on a sort of stage. He glanced forward, eyes widdening more as he saw all the werewolves snarling and smirking at him, the friendly one that Shadow had met before was right at the back.
The elder stepped up onto the wooden stage, the wood creaking under his immense weight, claws like large daggers and its front fangs almost as big as a mobian hand.

Shadow's pupils shrank as he struggled abit, hissing a little as the silver kept burning into him with the struggling.
The blue werewolf lowered his ears and looked down as he listened to Shadow hiss in pain, he even flinched when he heard his pack snickering at the vampire.

He whined a little, but picked his head up quickly as the elder punched Shadow in the gut...the werehog couldn't stand there and watch anymore; he snarled and ran through the crowd, leaped up onto the stage and shoved the elder away from Shadow.
The vampire looked at him shakily, the punch feeling like he'd been hit with a demolition ball.
"Wh..what are you..doing?" he panted, out of breath from the punch.
The werewolf stood in front of Shadow, protecting him as much as he can, but lowered his ears as he noticed the looks of anger, disappointment and shame from his pack.
The elder stood as he towered over the small werewolf, hitting him into the crowd as he snarled. The group of werewolves parted as they let the rookie smash into the ground hard.

The werewolf whined in pain as he slowly got up on his fours and tried to go back to Shadow--but then the other werewolves snarled and surrounded the young pup. He barked at his pack, trying to get them to move, but they wouldn't listen--he growled and began to run his way forward.
The elder ripped Shadow from the shackles but had to yank at the one around his throat a few times, choking the vampire abit, before slamming him into the dirt ground roughly, the ground shaking and crumbling abit from the force of the slam.

The werewolf snarled and rammed the elder away from Shadow and into a few bushes before going back to Shadow and gently nuzzling his cheek--he gave a soft whine and licked Shadow's face.
The vampire hissed faintly in pain, wheezing painfully as he was carefully picked up and held against the werewolf's warm chest.
The werewolf gently licked Shadow's wound while keeping him as comfortable as possible.

The other werewolves circled the rookie, snarling deeply as the elder started to walk over.
The elder snarled deeply as he spoke to the rookie through his mind like all werewolves do.
'Stupid pup! This vampire entered our territory! Now stand aside so I may end its sorry existance'
'N-No...I won't! He's not all that bad...he's nice, kind and sweet...who are you to judge?!'
'You DARE question my order, miserably pup!' the elder snarled at the same time, baring his fangs agressivly.
The pup lowered his ears and whined a bit, but still tried to look strong. 'Please elder, he isn't as bad as you all think. If only you would give a chance to know him better...and I-I won't allow you to hurt him!
'Vampires are cunning!' the elder's ears pinned down as he growled and glared at Shadow, 'They've killed HUNDREDS of us!'
'And we killed thousands of them!' the pup barked, 'And I don't believe all vampires are cunning. He sure isn't!'

The elder growled, knowing that he wasn't going to move. He paced a few times before sighing.
'Fine. I'll test your little theory. He may stay...for a week. Thats all!' he growled as the other werewolves grunted and snarled against it.
'Thank you elder, I promise he isn't as cunning as you think'
Sonic smiled as he nuzzled Shadow happily, before covering his face in slobber.
Shadow gagged and tried to get out of his grip but only groaned in pain.
'But the SECOND he does something against the rules, I'll snap him like a toothpick!' the elder snorted as he walked off.

The werewolf smiled then remembered that he never really caught the vampire's name--he gently nudged his side, hoping to get some response.
Shadow groaned as he forced his eyes open but he quickly passed out again, the sun tipping up into the sky slowly.
The pup carefully carried Shadow onto his back and quickly headed into his hut--once he was inside, he made sure the inside was in shadows and gently placed the injuried vampire on the bed--or nest he had. Once that was finished he began to lick some of his wounds.
A tiny trickle of the suns rays filtered onto the werewolf's back as he slightly cringed.
He winced and whined as he backed away from Shadow and felt the pain intensify--he groaned and kneeled down onto the floor, clutching himself a bit as he felt the light beginning to cause some transformation.

His clawed paws shrunk to peach, mobian hands. His bulky, muscled figure 'deflated' to the slim body of a hedgehog. The thick mane slowly pricked back into head quills that were positioned straight backwards and slightly bent at the end. His dark brown fur slowly turned to a sky blue, panting heavily as his fangs painfully inched back to normal mobian teeth as he groaned loudly. Lastly his tail that had been between his legs in pain, slowly shrunk down into a perfect triangle shape. A hedgehog tail.

After the transformation was finally finished, Sonic collapsed onto his hands and knees, panting from exhaustion--it took him a few seconds before he regained his posture and noticed the vampire beginning to wake.
He gave a small shriek from the sun, sitting up as he backed away from the filtering sunlight.
The hedgehog quickly grabbed a cloth and covered the spot the sunlight was coming through--once that was settle, he carefully went up to Shadow and gently touched his arm.
The vampire hissed at him quickly, fur on ends as he backed up more, not recognising him but stopped when he looked at his eyes.

"I-It's me, d-don't you remember?" He whined as he lowered his ears.
"Your that werewolf..." he muttered and blinked as his eyes scanned the hedgehog. He looked so innocent...so free going to have such a curse.
"Yeah! It's me!" the blue hedgehog said as he wagged his tail, "You are lucky you are even alive. You was about to be ripped to shreds."
"Why do you keep saving me like that...? Your suppose to be my enemy.." Shadow licked a deep wound on his arm instinctivly.
"I find you very intriguing," the 'werewolf' said, "You are the first vampire I met that has been so kind."
"Well our first meeting, I didn't really have much of a choice with all those rocks on me" Shadow commented.

"Umm....right," He said, scratching the back of his head, "So, whats your name?"
"Shadow...and yours?"
"The name is Sonic," the blue hedgehog said as he began to sniff the vampire's fur, "And that's a cool name you have."
Shadow shifted back from his sniffing.
"What are you doing?"

"You have an interesting scent." Sonic said.
Shadow lifted a brow curiously and sniffed his arm.
"Smells normal to me"
"My sense of smell is a lot stronger than yours." Sonic said as he stretched.
"What do YOU smell then?"
"Umm...well I dunno...I can't really describe it." Sonic said.
"So I smell different to other vampires? Hmm..."

"Anyways, are you hungry at all?" he asked.
"Starving! What have you got?" Shadow asked eagerly.
"Some meat." Sonic chuckled.
"Oh right, you don't sort by blood type. Nevermind" he smiled and looked at the deer Sonic had. He bit into it hungrily as he fed.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," Sonic chuckled as he sat, "So, why have you appeared in the forest again?"

Shadow went to answer but stopped. What if this 'trusting' thing was just a way to get information out of him...?
"Hunting.." he lied as he went back to eating.
"Yeah, this forest does have lots of animals to hunt and feast upon," Sonic said as he looked down, "Though at least I try to be good for my pack."
The vampire laid a hand on his shoulder gently.
"Im sure you do you part in the pack"
"I guess, but it seems like I'm more of a disappoint meant to them," Sonic sighed, "M-Maybe I try too much--after all, I'm the only one in my pack that has ever trusted a vampire; they're probably ashamed of me."

"Hey, if my clan knew I was here they'd..." he stopped as he shook his head, "Never mind..."
The pup looked up at Shadow and tilted his head, "And they what? What would they do?"
He looked at Sonic slightly, ears pinned down.
"Kazite Machinta..." he paused as he looked down, "Sun Torment"
"Well...you won't have to worry! I'll make sure that never happens to you!" Sonic said confidently, "I'll protect you from harms way, even if I have to fight my way through it all!"

Shadow walked away a little, rubbing his arm.
"Even if it does happen...I want it to..."
"Huh...why?" he asked curiously.

"I have no one..." he muttered, "I have my clan and thats it...we're a dying race...my parents were killed by some werewolves from your pack the day I was born and I've been alone ever since..."

Sonic lowered his ears, feeling ashamed that his pack had done such a terrible thing--he went up to Shadow and gently nuzzled him.

"You aren't alone anymore," Sonic said, "You have me by your side."
"Why...? Why do you care so much about me...? Im a stranger and your immortal enemy...Why..?" Shadow sighed as he kept looking down.
"Cause I never like seeing anyone sad or hurt, it pains me to see that and I would do anything to make them happy," Sonic said as he nuzzled under his hand, "It's one of the best qualities I have in me--now come on, give me a smile, please?"
"I..I DON'T smile..." he shook his head a little as he backed up into the shadowed corner "Monsters don't smile..." his red eyes glowed brightly in the darkness like some sort of demon.

"Oh true, well umm...anyways, since we're gonna be in the hut for a while, anything you want to do?" Sonic asked.
"Sleep...I haven't had sleep in days..." he mumbled.
"Then rest," he said as he sat down, "I'll stay on guard."
"I see even you know that they all might kill me in my sleep.." Shadow sighed nervously and laid in the bed of moss, leaves and grass. Nest. "Such strange ways you all sleep. I'd hang from the roof if I knew it wasn't going to collapse under my weight"
"Heh....errmm yeah, well, I promise to make a sturdier roof." Sonic chuckled.
The vampire slowly closed his eyes as he fell asleep, facing the wall.

Later

Sonic's stomach growled loudly as he slightly cringed. He made a move for the door but remembered his promise to Shadow.
'Oh man I'm need some food so bad...' Sonic thought with a groan, 'But who knows what would happen if I leave...what do I do?'
A knock came from the door.
Sonic went over to the door and slightly peeked it--he turned at Shadow and saw no light was reaching near him, then he turned his head back at whoever was knocking. "Yes?"

The shaman was standing there. He'd been like a brother to Sonic. He was an orange two tailed fox with rough fur and tears in his ears as well as marks on his body. He had a stick that had a crystal stuck in the loop at the top. He was younger then Sonic but had a gift to see into the future at times. He knew where all the best hunting spots would be and when the vampires would attack.
"Hello brother" he smiled, "Hows the guest?"
"He's asleep, though very sad," Sonic replied, "I wish I could do more for him--to cheer him up some, but I just don't know how."
"I've had a very recent vision of the future. But strangely enough...its not about our kind"
"What is this vision?" Sonic asked curiously.

"The vampire clan nearby are dying out. Their getting despret and turning more and more mortals over to their side. I fear a war may happen. I'd tell the elder...but I also fear that he'll rush blindly into war now with the vampires so weak...He refuses to understand the harmony that vampires bring to the world...If he kills them off then the forest will become over populated. Meaning more mortal hunters and more danger for pups"
"S-Something has to be done!" Sonic whined before looking at Shadow, "How can I help their clan? is there anyway to save the vampires from extinction?"
The shaman shook his head slowly.
"I could not say for the vision ended before I could find out"

"Hmm...I guess I have to find out more from Shadow," Sonic sighed, "Thanks shaman."
He smiled and glanced over at Shadow.
"I could watch him while you go hunt if you want" he said as he looked back at Sonic.
"Thanks shaman," Sonic smiled, "I'll be back soon." He looked back at Shadow and headed out into the forest ot get some food.
The fox nodded and walked inside, shutting the door as he watched over the vampire.

On his way back, Sonic bumped into the elder. He was a black echidna with scars on his body and a few dreadlocks missing with bones tied at the ends to make up for them. His left eye was blinded with a deep scar across it. His golden eyes looked at Sonic.
"Watch where your walking, pup!"
"S-Sorry..." Sonic whined, "Umm...how are you?"
"Fine" he growled and walked off, "Just keep your eyes on that cunning vampire"
"He's not cunning!" Sonic growled, "Stubborn echidna..."

The echidna stopped.
"What..was that?"
"N-Nothing," Sonic said as he backed up, "But you are a stupid echidna!" The pup then quickly tried to run.
The elder grabbed him quickly.
"Do you need to be chained to the tree AGAIN?"
"N-No! N-Not that please!" Sonic whimpered, "I-I didn't mean what I said!"
"LAST chance!" he snarled and threw Sonic to the ground, walking away.

Sonic groaned in pain as he got up on his legs and took his hunted meal back to his hut.
The shaman was sitting on a chair, meditating of sorts.
Sonic dropped his meals down onto the ground before closing the door. "How is he?" the pup asked.
The shaman opened his eyes and looked at Sonic.
"Tossing and turning abit. But he's been fine other then that"
"Well, thanks for keeping a watch on him." the pup sat down and began to eat his meal.
The fox smiled and stood.
"It was nice talking to you again, brother" he smiled, "But I should really get back to my hut"
"Okay, I can take things from here," Sonic grinned, "I'll see you then."
He smiled and gave Sonic a hug.
"See you" he said as he walked out.

Sonic smiled and then went near Shadow, softly nudging him and seeing if he was okay or not.
The vampire opened his eyes a little.
"Huh...?"
"You all right there?" Sonic asked.
"Sure...why wouldn't I be..?" he muttered sleepily and sat up a little, "Is it Evening yet..?"
"Well, somewhat," Sonic said, "The sun started to set."
Shadow yawned as he slowly stood, stretching his arms and wings.

"Umm...I brought some food...I even stored some blood for you." Sonic said.
"Thanks" he nodded and looked at the offered boar, kneeling down and feeding hungrily.
Sonic smiled and wagged his tail as he sat next to the vampire. "Shadow...why is your clan being extinct?"
Shadow choked on his food abit as he coughed.
Sonic gently rubbed his back, "W-Was it something I said?"
"W-we're not going extinct! What are you talking about?!"
"The shaman told me, he's never wrong," Sonic said, "Shadow...there is something you aren't telling me."

Shadow looked down, silent.
"Shadow?" he said softly.
"I..Im not suppose to tell about it..."
"Why not?"
"I just can't.." he muttered, "Its suppose to be secret.."
"I-I can keep a secret," Sonic said, "Please Shadow."
Shadow looked at him as he nodded a little.
"Okay..I'll tell you. But not here"
"Okay then where?" Sonic asked.
"I know a good place. Go outside and change and I'll take you" he said as he moved to the side to let Sonic out.

Sonic nodded and then opened the door and stepped out as he saw the moon glow brightly in the sky, he winced and crouched down as he felt the transformation take full effect.
Shadow stood at the doorway, curious to see the transformation.
Sonic groaned in pain as he fell on his hands and knees, feeling his teeth turn into sharp canine fangs, his cerulean blue fur became shaggier and fluffier, the peach skin tone turned a pale blue and finally his small tail became long and wolf-like. Once the transformation was complete, the pup panted.
Shadow knelt by him and petted him.
"Ready to go?"
Sonic nodded and wagged his tail.
The vampire stood up and started walking into the forest.
"Stay close"
Sonic listened to the vampire and stayed close to him as he walked.

After a while of walking the forest started to get thicker, the trees seeming to tangle around one another as if to sheild somehing. Shadow managed to manuver around them easily and showed Sonic the way.
Soon they came to a cave amungst the tangle in the trees.
"Here it is"
Sonic tilted his head, wondering what was he looking at.
Shadow walked past a small group of branches and into the mouth of the cave.
Sonic stayed close to him, sniffing the moisture in the air.
"You don't need to be scared. We're the only ones here" Shadow said as he put a hand on Sonic's head. They walked deeper into the cave until they came to a section that had a cave pool. Crystals jutting out of the walls and slightly glowing to make light.

'This place is amazing,'Sonic thought, 'I never seen anything like it.'
Shadow sat on a rock beside the cave pool and touched the mirror-like surface with his claw as it seemed to shatter with the ripples.
"I come here when I need to relax"
Sonic wagged his tail and sat down.
"So..you wanted to know why my clan are dying..."
Sonic nodded.

"Well...There was a group of vampires in the clan that did alot of stupid things to the mortals in the town nearby...They provocted them and drove them to call upon a dangerous vampire hunter...He's killed off half of our clan. We can't hunt in the forest since he's set up traps everywhere...we're being starved..."
"Th-That's terrible." Sonic tried to say, but it only came out as a whine.
"So I was sent out...to have a child with another vampire. When two vampires from different clans bare a child it becomes stronger. A new breed of sorts"
'So that's why Shadow's been so down...poor him.'Sonic gently nuzzled him, trying to make the vampire not feel so down with such a hard responsibility.

Shadow put a hand on his head.
"But this task had a risk...Vampire clans never get along. If I were to walk straight into one they'd strike me down without a word..."
Sonic lowered his ears, then tried to cheer Shadow up by licking his face.
The vampire looked at him and smiled.
"And then I found you"
Sonic barked and wagged his tail.
"You know...I've never had a friend before..."
Sonic wagged his tail excitedly when Shadow said 'friend'--he nuzzled him, glad to know him and the vampire were friends.
Thats when he realized that for the first time Shadow had actually smiled. He petted Sonic gently, laughing when the werewolf licked his face and ended up tackling hiim to the floor.

Sonic barked and began to run around Shadow a bit, but trips and stumbles flat on his face.
"A-are you okay?" Shadow asked as he helped him up.
Sonic rubbed his head before looking at Shadow and wagging his tail.
The vampire chuckled and ruffled his hair.
"Your like a big dog"
Sonic folded his ears a bit and barked at Shadow--the vampire didn't understand the sudden mood change, but soon he realized that what he said must've offended the pup.
"S-Sorry!" Shadow sweat dropped as he petted his head, "Didn't mean to offend you"
The pup purred and nuzzled closer, forgiving him and enjoying the comfort he was given.
Once again the vampire smiled as he sat down against the rocks and let Sonic rest his head in his lap.

Sonic purred softly, whining happily as he nuzzles even closer.
Shadow gently petted him as his eyes closed half way contently, listening to the sound of dripping water at the pool.
"Relaxing, isn't it?" he smiled softly and stroked the werewolf.
Sonic nodded and purred some more.
"I meditate in here sometimes...without it I'd be a vicious bloodsucker...but I like to keep my sanity"
Sonic nodded as if he understood.
Shadow closed his eyes as he relaxed against the warm werewolf, feeling safe.
"So warm.." he said quietly.
Sonic nuzzled into Shadow's side, purrin in content.

The vampire blushed a little as he looked at him.
Did he have..FEELINGS for this creature...?
Sonic's stomach growled a bit--he tried to ignore despite how loud it was.
Shadow gulped, looking at Sonic nervously.
Sonic noticed his nervousness and nuzzled Shadow gently, lettintg him know he wasn't going to eat him.
He relaxed slowly and petted him.
"You should go hunt. I'll wait here"
Sonic whined, wanting him to come watch him hunt.
"I wish I could understand you..." Shadow sighed.
Sonic wagged his tail and gently placed his paw on Shadow's head--he stared intensely into Shadow's eyes, making his own green iries glow a distinctive blue color. Shadow felt slighlty light headed for a few moments, but as soon as sonic stopped his actions, he began to hear the pup speak.

"Shadow! Can you hear me?" he asked.

The vampire freaked out and lept back in shock.
"I can't believe it worked! yes!" Sonic cheered before looking back at Shadow, "OH and you look a bit freaked out."
"H-How did you-"
"Learned it from my elders," Sonic said, scratching his ears, "We only do that to ones we trust."
"Is it just you I can understand or the rest of your pack?"
"I think the entire pack." Sonic said.
"That should be interesting...So what were you saying before?"
"oh! Wanna watch me hunt?" Sonic said, wagging his tail.
"Hmmm..." Shadow pondered for a minute, "Well I have always wondered how you wolves hunt. Sure"
"Sweet!" Sonic grinned, "You're going to be impressed by my hunting skills."

Shadow grinned a little as he stood up, following the excited werewolf out the cave and back out into the forest.
Sonic sniff the air and looked at his surroundings as he spotted a deer a few feet away--he crouched down quietly, wagging his tail eagerly and began to take charge. The deer tried to run as fast as it could, and Sonic was merely inches away from it when he lost his footing and tumbled himself into a tree trunk hole.
The deer laughed at the pup struggling to get out--so it returned the favor by kicking his backside. "Ow! Quit it! Ow!" Sonic yelped.
Shadow ran over and lept on the deer, chomping into its throat and snapping it easily.
Sonic whined, still stuck in the tree and his bum red and sore from the deer kicking it--he struggled to get out, but gave soon gave up.

"Sh-Shadow...help." he whimpered.

Shadow grabbed Sonic's legs and pulled quickly.
Sonic whined before finally getting unstuck. "Phew...thanks Shadow?" he said, "Uh Shadow?" He looked down and realized he was sitting on the vampire, and blushed in embarrassment as he got off.
The vampires muzzle was bright red as he blushed heavily and got up.
"Ermm...umm....yeah....awkward." Sonic said, too flustered to even make a full sentence.
Shadow shakily hid the blush, ears pinned down in embarressment.
Sonic thought for a moment then pounced Shadow and licked his face to cheer him up.
"S-stop it!" Shadow chuckled, ticklish.

Sonic grinned and then licked Shadow's tummy.
The vampire squirmed and tried to get away.
Sonic chuckled and continued to tickle/lick Shadow's tummy some more.
Shadow rolled out of his grip and ran to hide in the trees quickly, laughing for the first time in his life.
Sonic snickered and began to sniff for Shadow's scent as well as looking around, hoping he could spot the vampire. "I will find you." he grinned.
Shadow glowing red eyes shinned through the trees as he darted in and out of branches stealthily, confusing Sonic.
"That's strange...I swore I smelled him over here..." Sonic said, as he kept sniffing around.
Shadow grinned and dug his feet claws into the branch he was on, swinging down as he hung upside down behind Sonic.
"Boo"

Sonic fur stood as he jumped up a bit before he turned around, "Sh-Shadow?"
The vampire was laughing so hard he nearly fell off the branch.
Sonic growled playfully and jumped up, trying to grab Shadow.
Shadow smirked and looked down at him.
"Come on. Get me~"
Sonic chuckled and jumped up, higher and higher--inches away from reaching him; though his final jump cause the pup to land on his back.
Shadow flipped down quickly and landed beside him.
"You okay?"
"Yeah," Sonic said, trying to get up, "I-I'm stuck!"
Shadow held his hand and pulled him up but slipped as they both fell down a hill, tumbling over each other.
Sonic laughed during the entire rolling.
When they landed Sonic was over Shadow, dandelions bursting up from where they had landed and blew around int he wind.

Sonic wagged his tail, "Shadow, you are really fun. You make me smile a lot."
Shadow looked into Sonic's emerald eyes, almost getting lost in them as he smiled.
"Shadow....I..." Sonic blushed and looked away, "Wh-what do you think of me?"
"Y..your...b-beautiful..."
Sonic blushed a light shade of red, he's never heard anyone call him that before.
"Y-You really think so?" the pup asked.
The vampire blushed heavily and hid his face, snapping out of his daze.
"Shadow...what if...what if I said that I like you...I mean I REALLY like you." Sonic blushed.
The vampire looked at him slowly and smiled.
"Then I'd say the same back"
Sonic wagged his tail and nuzzled him happily.
"Shadow...what if...what if I helped your...ummm vampire extinction." he asked.
Shadow tilted his head a little in confusion.
"But...we're both males... Or are werewolves more complex then I know of?"

"Y-Yeah...well, some male werewolves can also do the baby carrying," Sonic blushed, "it seems weird but its true."
"Interesting" Shadow smiled and sat up a little, gently kissing Sonic's furry cheek.

Sonic blushed, and wagged his tail more.
"Well, I'm all yours Shadow," Sonic said."
The vampire hugged him close and pulled him in gently.

5 minutes to Sunrise

Shadow snuggled closer to Sonic as he started to wake.
"Hmm..." Sonic yawned.
Sunlight filtered in through the trees, singing Shadow's fur as he lept up with a hiss, climbing a tree in instinct and hide amungst the branches.
"Shadow?" Sonic asked, rubbing his eyes before noticing the sunlight, "W-We need to get back to the cave quick."
Shadow lept down quickly and held Sonic's hand, running back to the cave in a flash as Sonic changed along the way.
"W-Whoa! y-you're pretty speedy." Sonic said.
He smiled back at him.
"An advantage of being a vampire. We're faster then death"
"Wow that's incredible!" Sonic grinned.
"Eh its nothing" Shadow smiled and skidded to a stop in front of the cave.

Sonic smiled and wagged his tail as he led Shadow in before stretching out onto the ground.
"Oh, umm...I kinda stored some kill in here," Sonic said, "Just in case if u or me were hungry."
Shadow kissed his cheek gently and cradled his face in his hands, slightly hesitating to kiss him on the lips, scared he'd accidently bite him.
"It's okay Shadow," Sonic said, "I'm not afraid and neither should you be. Give it a try."

Shadow smiled a little and slowly brought his face in, kissing him deeply as he closed his eyes.
Sonic purred happily and wrapped his arms around him, falling into the romantic embrace.
The vampire's fingers slowly slinked into Sonic's head quills, kissing deeper as the werewolf laid down on the floor.
Sonic moaned in pure bliss, enjoyign the tender kiss.
The kiss slowly broke as Shadow smiled and laid beside him, Sonic's arm wrapped around him as he rested his head on the blue hegehog's peach chest.
"I'm so glad I met you...." Sonic purred, "You make my life feel so complete."
Shadow tilted his head to look up at Sonic.
"Do you believe in fate..?" he asked softly.
"Yes I do, why you ask?" Sonic pondered.

Shadow smiled and nuzzled closer to him.
"Because I believe in it too..."
Sonic purred and nuzzled close, "That's good to know."
"It pains me to think...we'll have to eventually have to go back to our clans..."
"Maybe we can start our own clan--just the two of us and no one else," Sonic said, "W-We don't need our clans."
"Run away together..." Shadow smiled and sat up, kissing him on the lips gently, "I like that idea"
"I even know a perfect location," Sonic said, "Its a nice patch of forest with little to no sunlight, a beautiful pond and some food there for us to eat."
"Just me, you and our little one" Shadow smiled and nuzzled into his chest again.
"yeah..." Sonic smiled.
"Did you know vampire fledglings take only 5 months instead of nine like mortals" Shadow smiled.
"That's pretty cool, I didn't know that." Sonic said.
"So we won't have to wait as long" Shadow purred and hugged him.
"Good," Sonic smiled, wagging his tail rapidly.
Shadow closed his eyes sleepily, keeping his head on Sonic's chest.
Sonic smiled and gently caressed his head, nuzling him softly before closing his eyes--unaware that his pack was heading back to tell the elder what they saw.

The elder roared as he was told the news.
"Your certain?"
"Yes sir, I would never lie..." one of the werewolves said.
The elder paced in his den before looking back at the dark purple hedgehog that had said the news.
"Spy on them and tell me anything else. I want to know EVERY little detail they say! Got it?!"
"Yes sir." the werehog nodded.
The elder walked back inside his hut and slammed the door.
The purple werewolf winced before telling its few friends to help watch the two couple.

Meanwhile back with Sonic and Shadow...

Shadow had let Sonic keep sleeping while he fed.
Sonic's leg twitched a bit in his sleep.
The vampire glanced back as he fed, smiling as he finished off his meal and stretched.
Sonic whined a bit, moving his legs a bit, almost as if he was chasing something in his sleep.
Shadow walked over and kneeled down, placing a gently hand on Sonic's cheek to calm him.
"Im here...they won't get you..." he smiled.
Sonic stretches and nuzzled Shadow's hand as he gave a satisfied purr.
The vampire laid down beside him, ears drooped as he smiled a little.
"I'll always be here..."

Sonic nuzzled closer until his face hit Shadow's chest--he opened his eyes a bit, looking at it before nuzzling some more.
"This is so...soft!" Sonic purred.
Shadow chuckled softly and hugged him close.
"You make me feel so happy Shadow." Sonic purred.
"You helped me FIND happiness..." Shadow smiled as he looked into Sonic's eyes.
Sonic chuckled, "That is true."
Shadow kissed him on the lips gently and held him close. But he flinched quickly when he accidently bit Sonic's lip, eyes widening as the whites in his eyes slithered to a dark shade of black and his pupils slit more.
"Mmm~ Shadow?" Sonic said softly.
He backed up quickly, stumbling as he fell background and backed away into the corner, panting heavily as he shook.

Sonic sat up in concern, coming closer to Shadow. "What's the matter?" he asked.
"K-Keep away!!" Shadow shrieked, covering his mose and mouth.
"Shadow, it's all right,"Sonic said softly, "I'm not afraid--I know you didn't mean to, it's just your instinct is all."
"K-KEEP AWAY!!!" he cried out, panting heavily with tears streaming down his face.
"Shadow, please," sonic said, tearing up, "I-I'm fine--why are you acting like this?"
"I..I don't want to hurt you..!!"
"You won't hurt me, I promise Shadow," Sonic whined, "Please, you have to trust me."
He looked at Sonic, showing his black eyes.
"I..Im a monster..remember..?"
Sonic chuckled a bit, "Shadow, you are a beautiful person."
"Y..your blood!! I-Its..driving me CRAZY!! GAAAHH!!" he held his head, throwing it into the wall in an attempt to knock himself out.

Sonic quickly grabbed a hold of Shadow, and forced him to look into his eyes. "Shadow! get a grip!" he said, before showing his neck, "I want...i want u to bite me."
"No! No no!!" Shadow muffled when Sonic forced Shadow's mouth against his throat.
"Shadow please, I don't want you to be afraid," Sonic whispered, "Please..."
Without a seconds warning the vampire stabbed his needle fangs into Sonic's throat.
Sonic winced at first, but soon relaxed himself and purred.
Shadow tensed, trying to force himself away.
Sonic smiled and rubbed his back gently.

The vampire yanked his head away, slamming back against the cave wall as Sonic's blood trickled off his chin.
"Now, since you bit me, I will return the favor," Sonic grinned, grabbing Shadow's hand and biting his canine fangs into it.
Shadow flinched, expecting it to hurt, but strangely...it felt...good. The vampire wrapped his arms around Sonic and gently bit his neck again in several places.
Sonic purred deeply and nibbled on Shadow's hands and arm--enjoying the warmth.
Warm, crimson blood slowly ran from SOnic's neck and down his shoulder and over his chest, smeering over Shadow's chest that was leaned up against Sonic's.
"Mmmm...This...is amazing..." he purred and bit him a little lower then the last bite.
"MMm~ I agree~" Sonic purred.
They slowly stopped before they got to carried away and nuzzled against each other.
Sonic purred and nuzzled close to Shadow's chest, "I love you."
"I love you too..." he smiled and leaned against the wall, hugging him close.
Shadow stroked Sonic gently, running his claws softly through his blue quills as he hummed a tune his mother used to sing to him.
Sonic pointed his ears at Shadow's direction, quietly listening to the tune.
After he finished humming he softly whispered it in Vanax that Sonic could now understand thanks to the bite Shadow had given him.

Sonic looked up at Shadow, "Sounds so beautiful."
"My mother used to sing it to me every night..." he said with a sad smile.
Sonic hugs him, "Well, it's very beautiful. Your mother would be proud."
Shadow looked down as he put a hand over Sonic's since the blue hedgehog was hugging him from behind. His eyes suddenly widened as he stared blankly forward, images flashing in front of his vision mentally. His pupils darted around, looking through the eyes of the werewolf that had killed his mother. He was forced to watch it strike her down...forced to see his fledgling form shiver in a loosly wrapped blanket as thunder cracked. But something stopped it and drove it away. He blinked as he looekd through the clear eyes of hi younger form, watching the familiar werewolf walk forward. It looked so much like Sonic. It had his gentle eyes. He was cradled in the werewolf's arms and taken away as he snapped out of it, Sonic shaking him.

"Whoa Shadow! Are you okay?" Sonic asked concerned.
Shadow panted heavily as he looked at Sonic, tears slowly forming in his eyes.
"A..A werewolf...saved me..."
Sonic looked at him and nuzzled, "Do you know who saved you?"
"H..He..he looked just like you...but with some extra hair on his forehead..."
Sonic thought for a moment, then realized who he was talking about, "It must've been my dad."
"But..but why would your dad save me?"
"maybe he saw something in you that many other wolves don't see," Sonic said, "And also, he's not the type that would kill on sight."
"Is he..still alive?"
Sonic lowered his ears, "No..."

Shadow's ears drooped as he rubbed Sonic's back.
"I..Im sorry..."
"It's okay, I know he's living peacefully where he is at now." Sonic smiled before resting his head on Shadow's lap.
Shadow smiled and slowly stroked Sonic's head.
"Sonic..?" he said softly, wanting to ask him a question.
"Yes Shadow?" Sonic purred softly.
"How much do you love me?" he smiled.
Sonic began to wag his tail, "My love for you is bigger than the entire universe. I will be with you till the end of time. That's how much I love you."
"I love you more" The vampire laughed softly and kissed his forehead.
"Mmmm~ how much more?" Sonic purred.
"Mmmm....unmeasurable" he smiled.
Sonic smiled and gently licked Shadow's cheek.
"Heheh..." Shadow chuckled quietly when it tickled.

"We should get some rest Shadow," Sonic smiled.
Shadow snuggled up close to him.
"Good light" he whispered before falling asleep.
Sonic smiled and fell asleep as well.

The next day...

Sonic gave out a yawn and saw Shadow still fast asleep--he smiled and quietly stepped outside to stretch when he saw 3 of the werewolves approach him.
"Wh-What do you guys want?" Sonic asked.
"Oh. Just hanging around" The oldest hedgehog smirked as the oldest one blurted out.
"We know about the baby!" the middle aged hedgehog quickly covered the younger ones mouth.
"Baby?" Sonic said, eyes a bit widened from surprise, "You mean...I'm...."
"The vampire didn't tell you? No trust there!" The runt laughed.
"I do trust him!" Sonic growled, "We just...didn't know."
The werewolves ran off laughing, back to their hiding places.
Sonic floded his ears and walked back into the cave, he was still amazed that he got pregnant--he wonder how Shadow would take it.
The vampire was fast asleep, shivering.
Sonic curled around him as he held Shadow close, trying to warm him with his body temperature.
He purred and slowly stopped shivering.
"Thanks, werewolf..." he smiled in his sleep.

Sonic nuzzled him, "You're welcome." The blue hedgehog looked at his own tummy and began to rub it gently.
Shadow stirred abit and nuzzled closer to him.
Sonic whispered quietly, "I wonder what you'll look like."
He hadn't noticed until now, that he had a slight bulg in his belly. The werewolves had been right.
Sonic sniffed his belly and gently licked it. Then smiled and gently placed Shadow's hand on his tummy.
The vampire stirred and opened his eyes.
"Uhh..?"
"Hello sleepy head." Sonic smiled.
"Is it sunset yet...?" He muttered sleepily.
Sonic looked outside, seeing it almost was. "Yeah, almost getting there."

The vampire sat up slowly and stretched.
"How'd you sleep?"
"Mmm~ Good love." Sonic smiled, wagging his tail.
The vampire chuckled when he saw his tail wagging.
"I see you still have slight reflexes of a dog"
Sonic blushed a bit, then his stomach growled, "Hmm...I'm hungry..."
"Well there still a deep left in stock. How about I drain half of it and you can eat the rest?" Shadow offered and smiled.
"Sure, I like that idea." Sonic smiled.
"Be right back" he smiled and stood, going to the deer and bitting into it.
Sonic hummed softly and waited, rubbing his tummy gently.
Shadow did as he promised and drank only half of the deers blood so that it was still tastefull for his mate. He dragged it over for him and smiled.
"Here"
Sonic smiled, "Thanks!" Goes to eat, then sniffs it before taking a strawberry and smearing some of its juice on it before eating. Shadow tilted his head, wondering why he did that.

"Why did you do that?" He asked curiously.
"I dunno...I was just really eager to taste meat with some fruit juice on top." Sonic replied.
"Strange..." Shadow blinked and sat down on a rock. Thats when he noticed the small bulge in Sonic's stomach, "Hmmm..."
Sonic ate some more, "What ya thinking about Shads?"
"Don't take this personally..but...have you gained weight?"
"No...I haven't..." Sonic replied, "Do you really want me to tell you?"
"W..wait...a-are you...?"
Sonic smiled, "Yes Shadow, you are going to become a daddy."
"Wow...a daddy..." Shdaow chuckled in disbelief.

Sonic tilted his head, "What? You don't believe I'm pregnant?"
"No no...I just can't believe im gonna be a father" he smiled.
Sonic smiled and nuzzled him, "I bet you will be a great father."
Shadow hugged him close, kissing his head.
Sonic purred happily, nuzzling close.
"I love you, Blue" the vampire said softly.
Sonic blushed, "I love you too, my dark knight."
